Chiru's promoise costs Rs.15,000 crores !!!

Believe it or not, it causes a burden of more than Rs 15,000 crore per year on the exchequer, if Praja Rajyyam Party president Chiranjeevi has to implement his "Vandake Vantinti Saruku" (Essential commodities for Rs 100) scheme if he comes to power.

Though Chiru made the grandiose announcement, there was no proper response from crowds. On the other hand, people who have gained a lot of awareness in the last two decades, are questioning the rationale behind Chiranjeevi's scheme.

According to a survey, it would cost not less than Rs 650 to provide all the commodities promised by the PRP president – 25 kg of rice, one kg of edible oil, one kg of red gram, one kg of tamarind and chilli powder. Interestingly, he did not include onions in the list. Taking that, too, into consideration, the total cost would go up to Rs 675 as per the present rates (God knows what would be the cost of these commodities by the time Chiru comes to power).

Taking 2 crore white ration cards into account, it would cost Rs 1300 crore per month on these commodities. For 12 months, the total expenditure comes to Rs 15,600 crore. And the consumers will pay only Rs 200 crore per month, which means the revenue will be only Rs 2,400 crore. Apart from these commodities, the government would have to supply sugar and kerosene also on white ration cards. So, you can imagine the total burden on the government.

So, don't try to fool voters, Chiru! Brush up your knowledge in economics and think practical. Don't get carried away by All-Free Babu and go by the advice given by pseudo intellectuals like Dr Mitra

Chiranjeevi hits roads again !

As the High Court lifted restrictions on road shows, Praja Rajyam Party received a boost in its campaign.
Chiranjeevi, who heard the news at about 5 p.m. immediately plunged into action and held road shows over a stretch of 6 kms in Kandukur town, where hundreds of people, lined on either side of the road and lustily cheered him, throwing petals..

He thanked the High Court for responding to his pleas on lifting restrictions on road shows.

Buoyed by the response, he promised to provide free education from KG to PG to economically backward classes on par with SCs, STs and BCs. Women heartily responded when he announced a package to supply essential commodities for just Rs.100 a month.

Indebted

He said that he was indebted to Kandukur because both his houses at Hyderabad and Bangalore were constructed by masons from this place.

He said that hundreds of people were migrating to cities in search of work even today because successive governments neglected rural areas.

Praja Rajyam, if elected to power, would provide training and employment to youth at their own places. He posed for photographs donning himself as shepherd and construction worker keeping in view the predominant population of Yadavas and Wadderas in Kandukur.

When people represented about repairs to Rallapadu project he quipped that Congress government would take up only new projects, that is commissions to government. Though the government took up 56 projects at a cost of Rs.175 lakh crore to provide irrigation to over a crore acres, it achieved only 14 lakh acres irrigation potential till date. Most of the money had gone into the pockets of politicians, he alleged.

PRP to order probe into scams if voted to power
