Praja Rajyam president Chiranjeevi spoke eloquently about Special Economic Zones and their impact on the lives of common farmers, when he visited Polepalli village near Jadcherla in Mahbubnagar on Friday. Chiranjeevi, who met farmers affected by Polepally SEZ, surprised everybody, when spoke on the subject as if he is an expert on SEZ issues. He wondered why the government was targeting lands of only poor farmers, whereas not a single politician was losing the land for the SEZ. He also pointed out that out of 256 SEZs in the country, more than 50 were only in Andhra Pradesh and wondered whether it was so essential to have an SEZ here. He demanded that the government tell how many industries were established since 2004 in the State.

Hyderabad, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi and his newly-launched political party Praja Rajyam has come under attack by none other than two of his erstwhile leading ladies.

Actress Vijayashanti, who heads a party that espouses the cause of a separate Telengana state, said Chiranjeevi's political moves were just 'pretensions', local media reported Wednesday.

'Chiranjeevi's political achievements are cardboard cutouts when compared to those of mine. Even in cinema, it was I who established new trends. While I am the real champion of the Telengana cause, Chiranjeevi is merely pretending to shed crocodile tears in our name,' Vijayashanti said in a statement.

In her acting career, Vijayashanti has played Chiranjeevi's leading lady on 18 occasions - the highest for any actress. She now heads a party called Talli (mother) Telengana.

Another yesteryears' heroine, Roja Selvamani, also came out against the popular star at a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) youth rally here.

'Gullible crowds are being taken in by Chiranjeevi, who claims credit for health centres built on lands and doles donated by my leader (Chandra Babu) Naidu and claims blood contributed by the poor as his own,' Roja alleged.

The former multilingual actress, who has done many Tamil films also, has starred opposite Chiranjeevi in two Telugu films.

Workers of Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam, miffed at their leader coming under attack, carried out mock 'exorcising rituals' against the two actresses in Medak district, offering sliced lemons, vermillion and broken pumpkins to their photographs.

'The actresses have lost their wits due to the influence of devils that are egging them on against the future of Telugu pride. The powers of angels and spirits invoked by us will cure them through their pictures,' said Peddaramaiah, a die-hard Chiranjeevi fan.

Chiranjeevi, who has acted in around 150 movies in his three-decade-long career, entered politics last month by launching Praja Rajyam. The 55-year-old is yet to react to the allegations of his former co-stars.

I SAW BOSS YESTERDAY AT PARTY OFFICE

Hi all
I went last sunday (21.09.2008) to Party Office as my Brother in Law informed that we may get chance of meeting the Boss. So I took some of the Poems written by me to Present to Boss.

Boss came ariound 11.30am to the office and came out side to tell hai to the fans around 1.00pm. In that crowd i somehow managed to give one poem to Boss and Boss after taking that gave to the security beside him. God knows whether that security person gave to Boss or not.

Again Boss came outside around 3.00pm to say hai to outside people as he was leaving. A Person was beside me holding Boquet, boss saw that and asked security person to take the same. While that person was taking the Boquet I tried to give other poems in hand which he did not take.
Those who have reference are going inside easliy and coming out and those donot are staying outside.

Many of you use to ask me why i post my phone no. and other details along with my poem. it is not with intension to popularise myself, just if any one meets Boss, if they intend to refer Boss about me then they should have my details for ready reference. Because of that i use to give my details as I have Dream of meeting boss and taking a snap with Boss.

I thought yesterday I would fulfill my Dream
But it became kaaripoye icecream

Rose protest against Chiru's critics

Members of Chiru Mahila Varadhi today conducted their protest against actresses turned politicians Rajasekhar, Jeevita, Roja and Vijayshanti for their "undue criticism" against Praja Rajyam President Chiranjeevi. At a stir held in Hyderabad today, the activists arranged roses in front of the four critics, besides distributed roses to the general public at busy junctions, seeking "good health to mentally deranged persons." This kind of strange protest attracted the public in a big way.

Chiranjeevi is turning out to be a true politician slowly, he is trying to place people in right place.
Some people think that he is outwitted Chandra Babu Naidu in his administration talents as 'Use and Throw', he invited senior politicians from the political quarters of different shades and faiths much before he christened his political outfit as Praja Rajyam Party.

None of them are happy now. They feel they are sidelined and ditched. To join the wagon is Mr. K.S.R. Murthy, was the earliest bird to get in groove, in order to control damage caused by Mr. Manda Krishna with his attacks on Mr.Chiranjeevi, Mr. Murthy was asked to assume the latter's office as the secretary overnight. Mr Murthy is very popular among Dalits as a bureaucrat and politician.

He went on record in Media on the contentious issues like, categorization of SCs and separate statehood for Telangana. Mr. Chiranjeevi didn't like some body speaking on his behalf and getting mileage. Mr. Murthy was kept aside. He is the least contacted person in the party now. Then followed with of Mr. Kathi Padama Rao, who spearheaded many Dalit Movements in Andhra Pradesh.

After joining Praja Rajyam Party, he invited Mr. Chiranjeevi to the wedding of his son, which drew the attention of the media for wrong reason. His son's bride belongs to different caste. Mr.Chiranjeevi felt for having attended the marriage and later he kept Padma Rao at distance. Dr. Mitra, one of the official spokes-persons of the party is also not happy with the way things are handled, he is well known to the world that he is architect and ideologue of the party, his importance is reduced by getting Parakala Prabhakar and making another official spokes person.

Dr. Mitra is making his own group in the party with erstwhile members of Left Parties. Mr. Chiranjeevi doesn't like any leader to be focused. This is the strategy adopted by Megastar Chiranjeevi, may be this is for good cause of the స్టేట్.

Chiru to meet people displaced by projects

Enthused by the huge response he received from the weavers of Sircilla, Prajarajyam president Chiranjeevi is looking at 'project-affected persons' (PAP) as his next target audience.
People affected by SEZ in Mahbubnagar district, tribals being uprooted by the bauxite mining in Vizag area and fishermen facing the threat of evacuation to make way for coastal corridors. Chiranjeevi wants to meet all these sections to know the dark side of the so-called development in the state

"Though the suicide of farmers and weavers is a serious matter, the plight of the project-affected persons is equally a serious one. Even though some NGOs are working to help them, political parties have not been able to visualise the true dimension of the PAP," the sources said. As of now there are nearly 10 lakh people facing the threat of evacuation due to various projects and "the compensation is meagre. Rehabilitation is either not taken up or is tardy, and above all the cultural shock they received due to uprooting is immense," the sources said.

Party spokesman P Prabhakar said PRP would not indulge in abusing other political parties but would instead go directly to the suffering masses. It would not only understand their problems but come out with alternative plans to improve their lives.

Among other issues, chronic fluoride problem in Nalgonda districts also finds place in the priority list of the star. Apart from these familiarisation trips to problematic regions in the state, "The star is particular about visiting the church in the Medak town and the famous Pedda Masjid in Kadapa," the sources added.

Chiranjeevi is burning the midnight oil to pore over books on political science, the Indian Constitution and public administration to prepare for his new role as a politician.
The actor, who has enacted many a character in reel life, may never have taken such pains for any portrayal. But then this is the meatiest role he has ever got.

According to aides, the Praja Rajyam chief is also reading up on all the burning issues of the state, including categorisation of scheduled castes, Naxalism, farmers' suicides and price rise to keep abreast of all major developments. Mr Chiranjeevi, who is on a statewide tour, apparently wants to deliver speeches with as much substance as style, something which his scriptwriters often forget to do in films.

"He is thoroughly examining every problem being faced by the common man," said an aide. "He is not just analysing the problem, but is also taking advice from experts to find solutions." To formulate pro-poor policies for his party, the actor is also going through the election manifestos of different political parties.

"He is committed to the uplift of the downtrodden," said Ms Shobha Nagi Reddy, former Telugu Desam leader who joined the Praja Rajyam." "He is very keen on understanding the travails of the poor." Chiranjeevi struck a chord with the people during the Tirupati launch of his party by speaking about his lower middle-class upbringing. But to carry forward the momentum, he has to strike a chord in terms of his approach to issues as well. This means some rote learning to digest key facts and figures. And nobody needs to teach the actor how to weave them into his dialogues to give it that solid punch.
