Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi gave his party 125 to 150 seats in the 294-seat Assembly in the ensuing elections. Asked about the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy’s estimate that the Congress would get 230 seats and the Prajya Rajyam 15, Chiranjeevi said with a smile:...“He might have forgotten to put a zero beside 15. Or else he might have failed to insert a two between the numbers.” He also confirmed that the Praja Rajyam would go it alone in the elections.
