A tribal woman from PSR Nellore district will be the first candidate to get a ticket from the Praja Rajyam to contest in the Assembly elections. PR president Chiranjeevi announced the name of Ms Tupakula Munemma from Pambali village in Vakadu mandal. Ms Munemma participated in many social agitations right from her childhoodShe had also actively participated in tsunami rehabilitation programme. She became popular when she fought successfully against a forward social community who occupied land belonging to STs. The district collector himself accepted her fight and the land was restored. Ms Munemma, supported by an NGO, used the Right to Information Act to unearth hundreds of acres which was captured by well-to-do people.
