Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi will make a “flash visit” to Sircilla in Karimnagar district tomorrow and spend a few hours with weavers to learn of their woes first hand.
Arriving in town by road by 9:00 a.m, he will also spend some time with the families of weavers who committed suicide due to financial hardship

The visit will be a prelude to several such flash visits to various parts of the State in the days to come to understand the problems confronting the people.

This will also serve as a warm-up exercise for him ahead of his Statewide tour beginning later this month.

The decision on the visit was taken at the core committee meeting of the party today. The implicit message of the Sircilla trip is that contrary to the contention of the ruling Congress and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy that all’s well in the State and the leadership could not be better, there are pressing problems aplenty.

To begin with, the actor-turned-politician appears to be on a mission to prove Rajasekhara Reddy wrong by focusing on the plight of the weavers.

The tour is the first Chiranjeevi is undertaking after entering public life. He will return to Hyderabad in the evening.
